Man Wearing Only Boxers and One Sock Climbs Los Angeles Church Bell Tower and Lights Cross on Fire (VIDEOS)
GP | July 9, 2021
A man has been detained after climbing a church bell tower and lighting the cross on fire in Los Angeles — wearing only boxer shorts and one sock.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not revealed the identity of the 25-year-old man who was captured on film lighting the fire at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday evening.
A witness told KCBS-TV the man threw his clothes off the top of the church.
“The man, who appeared to be clad in only boxers and socks, was on top of a bell tower trying to start a fire when Sky5 arrived above the scene around 8:45 p.m. However, the flames failed to spread past the apex of the roof,” KTLA reports. “He eventually scaled down scaffolding surrounding the tower shortly after 9 p.m., heading across the church’s main roof before jumping across to other roofs in the neighborhood. At one point, he was even seen climbing an electrical wire.”
The LAPD tracked the man and eventually took him into custody around 10 p.m.
The half-naked man was taken to the hospital, but it was unclear if he required treatment or was being evaluated.

July 10 – The Seven Brothers, Martyrs; and Sts. Rufina & Secunda, Virgins and Martyrs
Three times within the next few days will the number seven appear in the holy Liturgy, honoring the Blessed Trinity, and proclaiming the reign of the Holy Spirit with His sevenfold grace. Felicitas, Symphorosa, and the mother of the Machabees, each in turn will lead her seven sons to the feet of Eternal Wisdom. The Church, bereaved of her Apostolic founders, pursues her course undaunted, for the teaching of Peter and Paul is defended by the testimony of martyrdom, and when persecutions have ceased, by that of holy virginity. Moreover, “the blood of martyrs, is the seed of Christians:” the heroes who in life were the strength of the Bride, give her fecundity by their death; and the family of God’s children continues to increase.
Great indeed was the faith of Abraham, when he hoped against all hope that he would become the father of nations through that same Isaac whom he was commanded to slay: but did Felicitas show less faith, when she recognized in the immolation of her seven children the triumph of life and the highest blessing that could be bestowed on her motherhood? Honor be to her, and to those who resemble her! The worldly-wise may scorn them; but they are like noble rivers transforming the desert into a paradise of God, and fertilizing the soil of the gentile world after the ravages of the first age.
Marcus Aurelius had just ascended the throne, to prove himself during a reign of nineteen year nothing but a second-rate pupil of the sectarian rhetors of the second century, whose narrow views and hatred of Christian simplicity he embraced alike in policy and in philosophy. These men, created by him prefects and proconsuls, raised the most cold-blooded persecution the Church has ever known. The skepticism of this imperial philosopher did not exempt him from the general rule that where dogma is rejected, superstition takes its place; and monarch and people were of one accord in seeking a remedy for public calamities in the rites newly brought from the East, and in the extermination of the Christians. The assertion that the massacres of those days were carried on without the prince’s sanction, not only does not excuse him, it is moreover false; it is now a proven truth that, foremost among the tyrants who destroyed the flower of the human race, stands Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, stained more than Domitian or even Nero with the blood of Martyrs.
The seven sons of St. Felicitas were the first victims offered by the prince to satisfy the philosophy of his courtiers, the superstition of the people, and, be it said, his own convictions, unless we would have him to be the most cowardly of men. It was he himself who ordered the prefect Publius to entice to apostasy this noble family whose piety angered the gods; it was he again who, after hearing the report of the cause, pronounced the sentence, and decreed that it should be executed by several judges in different places, the more publicly to make known the policy of the new reign. The arena opened at the same time in all parts not only of Rome, but of the empire; the personal interference of the sovereign intimated to the hesitating magistrates the line of conduct to pursue if they wished to court the imperial favor. Felicitas soon followed her sons; Justin the philosopher found out by experience what was the sincerity of Cæsar’s love of truth; every class yielded its contingent of victims to the tortures which this would-be wise master of the world deemed necessary for the safety of the empire. At length, that his reign might close as it had begun in blood, a rescript of the so-called mild emperor sanctioned wholesale massacres. Humanity, lowered by the unjust flattery heaped upon this wretched prince even up to our own day, was thus duly rehabilitated by the noble courage of a slave such as Blandina, or of a patrician such as Cæcilia.
Never before had the south wind swept so impetuously through the garden of the Spouse, scattering far and wide the perfume of myrrh and spices. Never before had the Church, like an army set in array, appeared, despite her weakness, to invincible as now, when she was sustaining the prolonged assault of Cæsarism and false science from without, in league with heresy within. Want of space forbids us to enter into the details of a question which is now beginning to be more carefully studied, yet is far from being thoroughly understood. Under cover of the pretended moderation of the Antonines, hell was exerting its most skillful endeavors against Christianity at the very period which opened with the martyrdom of the Seven Brothers. If the Cæsars of the third century attacked the Church with a fury and a refinement of cruelty unknown to Marcus Aurelius, it was but as a wild beast taking a fresh spring upon the prey that had well nigh escaped him.
Such being the case, no wonder that the Church has from the very beginning paid especial honor to these seven heroes, the pioneers of that decisive struggle which was to prove her impregnable to all the powers of hell. Was there ever a more sublime scene in that spectacle which the saints have to present to the world? If there was ever a combat which angels and men could equally applaud, it was surely this of the 10th July 162; when in four different suburbs of the Eternal City, these seven patrician youths, led by their heroic mother, opened the campaign which was to rescue Rome from these upstart Cæsars and restore her to her immortal destinies. After their triumph, four cemeteries shared the honor of gathering into their crypts the sacred remains of the martyrs; and the glorious tombs have in our own day furnished the Christian archæologist with matter for valuable research and learned writings. As far back as we can ascertain from the most authentic monuments, the 6th of the Ides of July was marked on the calendars of the Roman Church as a day of special solemnity, on account of the four stations where the faithful assembled round the tombs of “the Martyrs.” This name, given by excellence to the seven brothers, was preserved to them even in time of peace—an honor by so much the greater as there had been torrents of blood shed under Diocletian. Inscriptions of the fourth century, found even in those cemeteries which never possessed their relics, designate the 11th of July as the “day following the feast of the Martyrs.”
The honors of this day whereon the Church sings the praises of true fraternity, are shared by two valiant sisters. A century had passed over the empire, and the Antonines were no more. Valerian, who at first seemed, like them, desirous of obtaining a character for moderation, soon began to follow them along the path of blood. In order to strike a decisive blow, he issued a decree whereby all the principal ecclesiastics were condemned to death without distinction, and every Christian of rank was bound under the heaviest penalties to abjure his faith. It is to this edict that Rufina and Secunda owed the honor of crossing their palms with those of Sixtus and Lawrence, Cyprian and Hippolytus. They belonged to the noble family of the Turcii Asterii, whose history has been brought to light by modern discovery. According to the prescriptions of Valerian, which condemned Christian women to no more than confiscation and exile, they ought to have escaped death; but to the crime of fidelity to God they added that of holy virginity, and so the roses of martyrdom were twined into their lily-wreaths. Their sacred relics lie in St. John Lateran’s, close to the baptistery of Constantine; and the second Cardinalitial See, that of Porto, couples with this title the name of St. Rufina, thus claiming the protection of the blessed martyrs.
Let us read the short account of their martyrdom given us in today’s Liturgy, beginning with that of the Seven Brothers.
Quote:
At Rome, in the persecution of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, the prefect Publius tried first by fair speeches and then by threats to compel seven brothers, the sons of St. Felicitas, to renounce Christ and adore the gods. But, owing both to their own valour and to their mother’s words of encouragement, they persevered in their confession of faith, and were all put to death in various ways. Januarius was scourged to death with leaded whips, Felix and Philip were beaten with clubs, Silvanus was thrown headlong from a great height, Alexander, Vitalis, and Martial were beheaded. Their mother also gained the palm of martyrdom four months later. The brothers gave up their souls to our Lord on the 6th of the Ides of July.
Rufina and Secunda were sisters and virgins of Rome. Their parents had betrothed them to Armentarius and Verinus, but they refused to marry, saying that they had consecrated their virginity to Jesus Christ. They were, therefore, apprehended during the reign of the Emperors Valerian and Gallienus. When Junius, the prefect, saw he could not shake their resolution either by promises or by threats, he first ordered Rufina to be beaten with rods. While she was being scourged, Secunda thus addressed the judge: “Why do you treat my sister thus honorably, but me dishonorably? Order us both to be scourged, since we both confess Christ to be God.” Enraged by these words, the judge ordered them both to be cast into a dark and fetid dungeon; immediately a bright light and a most sweet odor filled the prison. They were then shut up in a bath, the floor of which was made red-hot; but from this they emerged unhurt. Next they were thrown into the Tiber with stones laid to their necks, but an angel saved them from the water, and they were finally beheaded ten miles out of the city on the Aurelian Way. Their bodies were buried by a matron named Plautilla, on her estate, and were afterwards translated into Rome, where they now repose in the Basilica of Constantine near the baptistery.
“Praise the Lord, ye children, praise the Name of the Lord: who maketh the barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.” Such is the opening chant of this morning’s Mass. But say, O blessed ones! was your admirable mother barren who gave seven martyrs to the earth? Fecundity according to this world counts for nothing before God; this is not the fruitfulness intended by that blessing which fell from the lips of the Lord when in the beginning he made man to his own image. “Increase and multiply” was spoken to a holy one, a son of God, bidding him propagate a divine offspring. As the first creation, so was all future birth to be: man, in communicating his own existence to others, was to transmit to them at the same time the life of their Father in heaven; the natural and the supernatural life were to be as inseparable as a building and its foundation; nature without grace would be but a frame without a picture. All too soon did sin destroy the harmony of the divine plan; nature violently separated from grace could produce only sons of wrath. Yet God was too rich in mercy to abandon the design of his immense love; and having in the first instance created us to be his children, he would now re-create us as such in his Word made Flesh. Reduced to a shadow of what it would have been, the union of Adam and Eve, unable to give birth straightway to sons of God, was dismantled of that glory which the sublime privileges of the Angels would have paled: nevertheless it was still the figure of the great mystery of Christ and the Church. Sterile according to God and doomed to the death she had brought upon her race, it was only by participation in the merits of the second Eve, that the first could be called the mother of the living. Great honor indeed was still to be hers, but on condition of yielding to the rights of the Bride of the second Adam. Far better than Pharao’s daughter rescuing Moses and confiding him to Jachabed, could the Church say to every mother on receiving her babe from the waters: “Take this child and nurse him for me.” And every Christian mother, anxious to correspond to the Church’s trust in her and proud of being able to realize God’s primitive intentions, might well repeat with regard to this second child-birth, those words uttered by a superhuman love: My little children, of whom I am in labor again, until Christ be formed in you. shame upon her that would forget the sublime destiny of her child to be a son of God! A far less crime would it be, were she, through negligence or by design, to stifle in him by an education exclusively directed to the senses, that intelligence which distinguishes man from the animals subjected to his power. For the attainment of man’s true end, the supernatural life is more necessary than the life of reason; for a mother to make no account of it, and to suffer the divine germ to perish after being planted in the infant’s soul at its new birth from the sacred font, would be to do unto death the frail being that owed its existence to her.
Far otherwise, O martyrs, did your illustrious mother understand her mission! Hence, though her memory is honored on the day when four months after you she quitted this earth, yet this present feast is the chief monument of her glory. She, more than yourselves, is celebrated in the readings and chants of the Holy Sacrifice and in the lessons of the Night Office. And why is this? Because, says St. Gregory, being already the handmaid of Christ by faith, she has today become His mother, according to our Lord’s own word, by giving him a new birth in each of her seven sons. After having made such a complete holocaust of you to your heavenly Father, what will her own martyrdom be, but the long-desired close of her widowhood, the happy hour which will reunite her in glory to you who are doubly her sons? Henceforward, then, on this day which was to her the day of suffering, but not of reward; when after passing seven times over through tortures and death, she had yet to remain in banishment, it is but just that her children should rise and make over to her, as of right, the honors of the triumph. Henceforth, though still an exile, she is clothed with purple, dyed not twice, but seven times; the richest daughters of Eve own that she has surpassed them all in the fruitfulness of martyrdom; her own works praise her in the assembly of the saints. On this day, O sons and mother, and ye two noble sisters who share in their glory, listen to our prayers, protect the Church, and make the whole world heedful of the teaching conveyed by your beautiful example!

100 More Cops Dispatched To Sydney To Help Enforce Lockdown As Cases Climb
Zero Hedge (emphasis in the original) | JUL 09, 2021
Australia's latest 'expert-imposed' lockdown of its most-populous city - Sydney - is growing increasingly authoritarian as Australia's conservative PM Scott Morrison dispatches another 100 police officers to Sydney to enforce the lockdown measures, reviving complaints that Australia's enforcement of its COVID measures has been unnecessarily heavy-handed.
Starting at 0700 local time on Friday, more than 100 additional officers will be stationed on the streets of Sydney, where they will continue to work for the remainder of the lockdown (which was just extended by two weeks), according to local press reports.
Assistant Commissioner Tony Cooke warned that rising numbers of infections had prompted the decision to dispatch police.
"Compliance is about us getting ahead of this virus," Cooke said on Thursday. "(NSW) Health have very clearly said to us we have a difficulty in south west Sydney."
Cook added that the police would be asked to patrol supermarkets and shopping centers, confronting anybody who might dare attempt to buy anything.
Quote:"The question we’ll be asking is ‘what’s your reasonable excuse for being here, you don’t need a pair of shoes today.'"
"We need people to take responsibility and comply."
Asked if the response was “heavy-handed”, Commander Cooke (one of the officials in charge of the police response) replied "not at all."
In other news, PM Scott Morrison has decided that the asset test limiting who can access weekly payments of up to $500 for losing work hours during a Covid-19 lockdown will be waived in the future.
For workers who will miss out on pay, Australia is making it easier to access up to $500 in compensation payments for lost hours. The government says a means test limiting access to the program will be waived.
Previously people who lost more than 20 hours work could only get $500 a week if they had less than $10,000 in liquid assets.
Still, thousands of small-business owners in the area would much rather have their businesses open than rely upon checks from the government that don't really cover their nut.
Sydney's lockdown was ordered by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who has promised zero tolerance of COVID, despite the fact that scientists like Dr. Scott Gottlieb have warned that COVID is very likely now endemic to the human population, and that the best authorities can hope to do is manage it.
Unfortunately for the experts, the lockdown hasn't reduced the number of new COVID cases, which has climbed in the weeks since the lockdown started. 38 new cases were discovered in the 24 hours to Thursday.
The big question now is how long will this continue? When will the authorities admit that the lockdowns have been ineffective?

Oregon may use National Guard for door-to-door COVID questions
Health official: 'We’re looking to bring on a team'
WND | July 9, 2021
When President Biden's latest extreme COVID move – a door-to-door visit to Americans to promote the vaccines – was announced, one of the reactions was from South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, who said those decisions are "personal" for his residents to make.
"Enticing, coercing, intimidating, mandating, or pressuring anyone to take the vaccine is a bad policy which will deteriorate the public’s trust and confidence in the state’s vaccination efforts," he said.
One member of Congress openly suggested while the door knocks this year may concern COVID vaccinations, those next year might be about collecting Americans' guns.
But a report from Press California explains Oregon already is considering ways to implement Biden's agenda, and "one tactic could be to send out the National Guard to neighborhoods."
The state actually has some 70% of is residents vaccinated, but "that’s not enough, according to zealous public health bureaucrats," the report said.
"In the state’s fourth most populous county, which includes the college town of Eugene, National Guard members may be among the teams designated to persuade people to take the shots, according to Jason Davis, Public Information Officer with Lane County Public Health," the report explained.
Davis confirmed that, "We’re looking to bring on a team that could be door to door."
The national Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System has documented "thousands of deaths following the mRNA shots, which are not conventional vaccines but experimental genetic therapy," the report said.

"There’s a spectrum as to reasons why people have not been vaccinated for Covid-19 yet. And they range from the extreme," claimed April Holland, of the Benton County Health Department. "Some people are uninterested and would take a lot of convincing on our part to get a vaccine."
Biden's claim was that, "Now we need to go community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood. And off-times, door to door, literally knocking on doors" to get more people vaccinated.
Also, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the "targeted" outreach aims "to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need about both how safe and accessible the vaccine is."
Leaders in Arizona and Missouri also have pushed back against Biden's door-knocking plan as federal officials defend their strike force strategy that "vaccine canvassing" is by volunteers and it already helped boost vaccinations in several states.
Psaki noted the federal government doesn’t keep a database of who’s been vaccinated, even as HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said it's absolutely the government's right to know who has had the vaccine.
Jeffrey Zeints, a vaccine coordinator at the White House, described how "local trusted messengers" like pastors and doctors may to the campaign.
"So I would say for those individuals, organizations that are feeding misinformation and trying to mischaracterize this type of trusted messenger work, I believe you are doing a disservice to the country and to the doctors, the faith leaders, the community leaders and others who are working to get people vaccinated, to save lives and help to end this pandemic," he said.

Leftist Group Drapes “God Bless Abortions” Over 65 Foot Christ of Ozarks Statue – Plan on Selling T-Shirts with Same Message
GP - adapted | July 9, 2021
A far left activist group draped a “God bless abortions” sign over the 65-foot tall Christ of the Ozarks Statue in Eureka, Arkansas this week.
The group is so proud of their stunt that they are selling T-shirts to commemorate the event.
Today abortion is a rallying cry and a sacrament to the left.
Via Indecline.
Quote:The renegade Activist Art Collective, INDECLINE has unveiled its latest piece of protest art directly on top of the iconic 65 foot tall Christ of the Ozarks monument in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
The project, entitled “God Bless Abortions”, is in direct response to the dramatic attempts being made in Arkansas and throughout the South, to ban abortion services to women in need.
The heavy duty cloth banner carrying the message, spans 44 feet, weighs over 50 pounds and is equipped with locking mechanisms and pulleys. Last night, it was transported through the nearby woods, smuggled onto the property by a small team disguised as a construction crew and strung up just before sunrise. This is not the first project the collective has unveiled pertaining to this issue and it is unlikely to be the last.
In an effort to raise support funds for the Arkansas Abortion Support Network, INDECLINE will be selling commemorative “God Bless Abortions” t-shirts through their website https://www.indeclinemerch.com/.

CDC Targets Unvaccinated Children in New Guidance For Students Returning to School in the Fall
GP | July 9, 2021
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday issued new guidance for student returning to school this fall.
The CDC said only fully vaccinated children do not need to wear masks in classrooms:
- Masks should be worn indoors by all individuals (age 2 and older) who are not fully vaccinated. Consistent and correct mask use by people who are not fully vaccinated is especially important indoors and in crowded settings, when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
- CDC recommends schools maintain at least 3 feet of physical distance between students within classrooms, combined with indoor mask wearing by people who are not fully vaccinated, to reduce transmission risk. When it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least 3 feet, such as when schools cannot fully re-open while maintaining these distances, it is especially important to layer multiple other prevention strategies, such as indoor masking.
Children have virtually zero chance of dying from Covid yet the CDC is specifically calling for unvaccinated children to be abused and ‘marked’ with a face mask.
A new study publishes in JAMA pediatrics says children wearing masks can expose them to dangerous levels of carbon dioxide.
Furthermore, vaccines are currently only available to children ages 12 and up.
The CDC will also recommend that all schools fully reopen in the fall – EVEN IF THEY CAN’T TAKE ALL RECOMMENDED STEPS TO PREVENT COVID.
This is purely political.

THE MARTYRS OF GORCUM
NINETEEN priests and religious men, who were taken by the Calvinists in Gorcum, after suffering many insults, were hanged on account of their religion at Bril, on the 9th of July, 1572. Of these, eleven were Franciscan friars, called Recollects, of the convent of Gorcum, amongst whom were Nicholas Pick the guardian, and Jerom Werden, vicar of the same convent. The former was thirty-eight years old, an eminent preacher, and a man endued with the primitive spirit of his order, especially the love of holy poverty and mortification. He feared the least superfluity even in the meanest and most necessary things, especially in meals; and he would often say: “I fear if St. Francis were living, he would not approve of this or that.” He was most zealous to preserve this spirit of poverty and penance in his house, and he used to call property and superfluity the bane of a religious state. His constant cheerfulness rendered piety and penance itself amiable. He often had these words in his mouth: “We must always serve God with cheerfulness.” He had frequently expressed an earnest desire to die a martyr, but sincerely confessed himself altogether unworthy of that honor. The other martyrs were a Dominican, two Norbertins, one Canon Regular of St. Austin, called John Oosterwican,* three curates, and another secular priest. The first of these curates was Leonard Vechel, the elder pastor at Gorcum. He had gained great reputation in his theological studies at Louvain under the celebrated Ruard Tapper; and in the discharge of pastoral duties at Gorcum, had joined an uncommon zeal, piety, eloquence, and learning with such success, that his practice and conduct in difficult cases was a rule for other curates of the country, and his decisions were regarded as oracles at the university itself. For the relief of the poor, especially those that were sick, he gave his temporal substance with such tenderness and profusion as to seem desirous, had it been possible, to have given them himself. He reproved vice without respect to persons; and by his invincible meekness and patience disarmed and conquered many who had been long deaf to all his remonstrances, and added only insults to their obstinacy. Nicholas Poppel was the second pastor at Gorcum, and though inferior in abilities, was in zeal worthy to be the colleague of Vechel, and to attain to the same crown with him. The rest of this happy company had made their lives an apprenticeship to martyrdom. They were declared martyrs, and beatified by Clement X. in 1674. The relation of several miracles performed by their intercession and relics which was sent to Rome in order to their beatification, is published by the Bollandists.1 The greatest part of their relics is kept in the church of the Franciscan friars at Brussels, whither they were secretly conveyed from Bril. See the accurate history of their martyrdom written by the learned doctor William Estius, printed at Douay in 1603. Also Batavia Sacra, part 2, p. 174, and various memoirs collected by Solier the Bollandist, t. 2, Julij, p. 736.

Trudeau’s former right-hand man joins Canadian PM in saying church burnings ‘may be understandable’
'Failed Liberal brainiac Gerry Butts thinks burning indigenous churches "may be understandable." Wonder when he'll find it politically expedient to shrug off the burning of mosques and synagogues,' Postmedia columnist Terry Glavin wrote in response to the recent comments.
Former Justin Trudeau advisor Gerald Butts
ONTARIO, July 9, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A former adviser and close friend to Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau is being called out for saying the recent rash of arson and vandalism attacks on mostly Catholic churches are “understandable.”
The comment was made by Gerald Butts, who was an advisor to Trudeau until he resigned in the wake of the SNC Lavalin scandal in 2019.
On Tuesday, he wrote on Twitter that “it may be understandable” that people want to burn down churches in light of the discovery of unmarked graves at now-closed indigenous residential schools once run by the Church.
The controversy began after Postmedia columnist Terry Glavin took issue with some on social media who have come to the defense of Harsha Walia, executive director of the British Columbia (B.C.) Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA).
Walia recently sparked online fury after openly calling for violence against Catholic parishes, writing on Twitter in response to news of Catholic churches being torched to “Burn it all down.”
Canadian lawyer Naomi Sayers came to the defense of Walia, saying publicly said that she would help “burn” down Catholic churches, as well as offering to help defend anyone caught attempting arson.
Butts first took a swipe at Glavin for calling our Walia’s remarks, to which Glavin replied, “So Gerry, defending the ‘burning churches is cool’ crowd?”
It was then that Butts replied with his “understandable” remark.
Glavin was not finished in calling out Butts, writing, “Failed Liberal brainiac Gerry Butts thinks burning indigenous churches ‘may be understandable.’ Wonder when he'll find it politically expedient to shrug off the burning of mosques and synagogues.”
This elicited a response from Butts, who again said it was “understandable” that churches are being burned.
“Look buddy, I'm not going to break the Crash Davis rule, and will ignore the personal insult. But I was an altar boy in a small Atlantic Canadian parish in the early 1980s. I can understand why someone would want to burn down a church, though I do not condone it,” wrote Butts.
Butt’s remarks come after Trudeau himself also said that it is that it is “understandable” that churches have been burned, while at the same time saying it is “unacceptable and wrong.”
Sun columnist Brian Lilley blasted Butts in an opinion piece for his remarks.
“And with those words, Trudeau, and now Butts, have given an excuse to those who have and continue to carry out these attacks. These very same attacks have been denounced by First Nations leadership in stronger terms and it has rightly been pointed out that it does nothing for reconciliation,” wrote Lilley on Wednesday.
Heavy media coverage of the unmarked graves at the now-closed Kamloops Indian Residential School located in British Columbia as well as in Saskatchewan has resulted in over 35 churches, most of them Catholic, being either burned or vandalized.
An online map posted by True North News shows the locations of these churches.
Trudeau has also blasted the Catholic Church publicly, saying he expects “the Church to step up and take responsibility for its role in this.”
However, the Catholic Church in Canada as well as in Rome has already acknowledged that some Catholics were at fault in the government-mandated residential school system.
In April 2009, Pope Benedict XVI met with First Nations representatives and apologized for the abuse children suffered in the schools.
Phil Fontaine, then-national chief of the Assembly of First Nations, emerged from the meeting satisfied, saying, “What we wanted the Pope to say to us was that he was sorry and … that he deeply felt for us.
“We heard that very clearly today,” Fontaine added.
The Kamloops Indian Residential School was run by the Catholic Church from 1890 until 1969 and was closed by the federal government in 1977.
Although the residential school system was founded by the secular government in the 19th century, and then woefully underfunded by the state, and although different religious groups were asked to run the schools, the Catholic Church has borne the brunt of recent criticism.
After the government mandated attendance at the schools in the 1920s, children were forcibly removed from their families and parents threatened with prison if they did not comply. Upon arrival at the school, children rarely saw their families, with many disappearing or never seeing their families again.
A priest who spoke to LifeSiteNews under condition of anonymity after the first two churches on indigenous land in British Columbia were set ablaze, said that First Nations Catholics will suffer the loss of their churches, but that sadly we can “expect more” burnings to come.
A report from the early 1900s by a medical inspector showed high rates of tuberculosis among Indigenous children as well as a lack of proper funding from the government.
In a recent report published by LifeSiteNews well-known Canadian Catholic author Michael O’Brien, who himself attended a residential school for three years, cautioned against using the discovery of the graves as a reason to attack the Catholic Church.
Another report published by LifeSiteNews highlights how Cree playwright Tomson Highway, as well as the late Inuvik Dene band chief Cece Hodgson-McCauley, said that attending the schools set them up for success later in their adult life.

Normal Cemeteries: Canadian "Mass Graves" Turn Out to Be A Hoax
gloria.tv | July 9, 2021
The alleged recent "discovery" of human remains in 182 "unmarked" graves at the former Kootenay Indian Residential School in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada, was not unexpected, the area’s former chief Sophie Pierre told GlobalNews.ca (July 2).
The existence of the cemetery was no mystery, only the wooden crosses that originally marked the gravesites had deteriorated over the years. “There’s no discovery, we knew it was there, it’s a graveyard,” Pierre said. “The fact there are graves inside a graveyard shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.”
Kootenay school was operated between 1890 and 1970 by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and later by the Canadian government for the education of Canadian Indians.
After fake "discoveries" of Canadian school cemeteries, Church haters, promoted by the oligarchs media, accused the Church of "genocide." As a consequence of this smear campaign about twenty (!) churches in Canada were burned down or vandalised. Below is a video of St Jude’s Parish in Vancouver, British Columbia, vandalised on July 1.
In the residential schools wanted and partly run by the government since the 19th century for the education of Canadian Indians, some of the pupils died over the decades during a time when child mortality was relatively high due to diseases which at the time were incurable.
The fake discoveries were used to promote leftwing cancel-propaganda, renaming places, burning down churches, toppling statues, eliminating "Canada Day," demonising Canadian history, and inciting race hatred and national masochism. The blueprint for this is denazification which was applied to Germany after Second World War.

Pfizer To Seek Authorization For "Booster" Dose To Protect Against Delta Variant
Zero Hedge | JUL 08, 2021
Hours ago, Dr. Anthony Fauci emphatically defended the efficacy of the three American-made vaccines that have received emergency authorization for use by the FDA. His comments weren't unprompted: reports out of Israel claiming the Pfizer jab is far less effective than advertised have shaken public confidence in the jabs, at a time where President Biden is about to send people knocking on doors to try and encourage more adults (and increasingly, children) to get vaccinated.
It's no secret that a handful of southern and western states are lagging the rest of the country in vaccine rollout. But not long after Dr. Fauci made his comments (which were picked up by all the major newswires) the NYT published a sneak peak at new research showing how the Delta variant bypasses the antibodies created by the vaccines, and prior infection with another strain of the virus.
It's just the latest example of how the authorities don't care about the "science" so much as protecting the narrative that helps Big Pharma sell the most vaccines. And while the vast majority of countries are still struggling with vaccination rates below 1% since they simply can't get the supplies (while unused jabs are piling up across the US) - and Bill Gates doing everything he can to keep it that way - Pfizer and Moderna have apparently spotted an opportunity.
Pfizer and its partner BioNTech announced Thursday evening that they will seek authorization from the FDA for a third "booster" dose of their COVID vaccines that will offer increased protection against the Delta variant (despite the fact that both Pfizer and its rival Moderna repeatedly insisted that its vaccines are still effective against all known variants including Delta), the Hill reports.
In a statement, the company referenced the data out of Israel, where government scientists have estimated the real efficacy of the vaccine vs. Delta is somewhere around 64%, while leaving particularly vulnerable patients at risk of severe illness and death. The booster dose would ideally be given within 6 to 12 months post-vaccination.
Quote:"Based on the totality of the data they have to date, Pfizer and BioNTech believe that a third dose may be beneficial within 6 to 12 months following the second dose to maintain highest levels of protection," the companies said.
The company said it's planning to start clinical trials for a reformulated vaccine that's modified to specifically target the Delta variant. However, the company now believes that a booster dose might be a more effective strategy. The news strikes us as surprisingly aggressive, considering the FDA hasn't even approved the first generation of vaccines yet (they were all granted emergency authorizations, and the FDA is still evaluating safety data, which is why we know the mRNA jabs cause rare side effects including heart inflammation in a small n umber of men).
Ultimately, the CDC and FDA will decide whether to recommend a third dose. But they have a pretty strong track record of safeguarding the interests of the Big Pharma companies that produced the vaccines. So, why would they change course now?

EXCLUSIVE – Abp. Viganò rebukes pro-LGBT Cardinals Cupich, Gregory, Tobin: They’re ‘unworthy to celebrate’ Mass
'It is a suicidal gesture in which the leaders of the Church surrender unconditionally to the antichristic ideology of globalism and hand over the entire flock of Christ as a hostage to the Enemy, abdicating their role as Pastors and showing themselves for who they really are: mercenaries and traitors,' the archbishop said.
July 8, 2021 (LifeSiteNews - emphasis The Catacombs) – In a new exclusive written interview with LifeSiteNews, former U.S. nuncio Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò condemns Pope Francis’s recent endorsement of homosexuality-promoting priest Father James Martin.
“It is a suicidal gesture in which the leaders of the Church surrender unconditionally to the antichristic ideology of globalism and hand over the entire flock of Christ as a hostage to the Enemy, abdicating their role as Pastors and showing themselves for who they really are: mercenaries and traitors,” he said.
It is, said Archbishop Viganò, “outrageous towards God, scandalous for the honor of the Church, a matter of grave scandal for the faithful and a desolating abandonment for priests and confessors that a voice can be given to a Jesuit [Fr. James Martin] who bases his personal success not on proper pastoral action seeking the conversion of individual homosexuals with respect to Morality, but on the illusory promise of some change in Catholic doctrine that would legitimize people’s sinful behavior.”
The former Vatican representative to the U.S., who is known internationally for his exposing of the cover up of the abuses of now-ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, shows himself in the interview (full text below) to be an outstanding teacher of the faith able to reach the simple and the erudite simultaneously with a truth which, while stark, is imbued with charity.
Explaining the teaching of the Church on the touchy subject of homosexuality, Archbishop Viganò said, “The Church, faithful to the teaching of her Head, is Mother and not stepmother: she does not indulge her children’s weaknesses and inclination to sin, but she admonishes them, exhorts them, and punishes them with medicinal sanctions in order to lead every soul to the purpose for which it has been created, that is, eternal beatitude.”
“It is necessary to show, with patient but firm spiritual direction,” he said, “that every human being has a supernatural destiny and a path of suffering and sacrifices that temper him and make him worthy of his eternal reward. There is no Resurrection without Calvary, no victory without a fight!”
“This is true,” he added, “for every soul redeemed by Our Lord: both the married person and the celibate, the priest and the layperson, the man and the woman, the child and the elder.”
“The battle against one’s own nature corrupted by Original Sin unites us all: the one who manages money must fight against the temptation to steal, the one who is married must fight against the temptation to betray his or her spouse, the one who lives in chastity must fight against temptations against purity, the one who eats nice food must fight against the temptation to gluttony, and the one who is exposed to public applause must fight against the temptation to pride.”
“Thus, with humility and trust in the Grace of God, and having recourse to the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin, every person whom the Lord puts to the test – even in the painful situation of homosexuality – must understand that it is in the battle against sin that one conquers one’s place in eternity.”
And while his words for those struggling with tendencies to sin were clear, firm, and loving, his commentary on the shepherds who would mislead the sheep was severe.
Viganò praised pastors who in charity use discipline to call wayward Catholics back to the truth by refusing them Holy Communion: “Pastors who are faithful to the mandate conferred on them by Our Lord not only recognize their situation of public sin but also do not wish to aggravate it with the profanation of the Blessed Sacrament,” he said.
However, he said, those prelates who advocate the opposite, “like Cupich, Tobin, Gregory, and their followers” are “even more rebellious” than the pro-abortion politicians that they grant Holy Communion and are themselves “unworthy of celebrating the Sacred Mysteries.”

Act manfully, and let your heart be strengthened. Ps 30:25
LifeSiteNews: What do you think of Pope Francis’s support for Father James Martin?
Archbishop Viganò: The LGBTQ+ ideology and the gender theory that it presupposes as its postulate represent a mortal threat for our entire society, the family, the human person, and also obviously for the Church, because they dissolve the social body, relations between its members, and the very concept of the biological reality of the sexes, which is arbitrarily changed to each person’s questionable and variable subjective self-perception based on gender.
Many do not realize the chaos this will cause not only in civil and family habits but in religious ones as well, as soon as recognition of the LGBTQ+ movement inevitably leads to people with what may be defined as gender dysphoria demanding to be welcomed in parishes and communities. An emblematic example could be the case of a man ordained as a priest who at a certain point believes that he identifies as a woman: should we prepare for the eventuality of seeing Mass celebrated by a trans-sexual or a transvestite? And how can we reconcile the persistent existence of the male chromosome – which indefectibly defines the matter of the Sacrament of Holy Orders – with the appearances of a woman? What should we think about the case of a nun who, developing a male self-perception, demands to be transferred to a religious community of men and perhaps even to receive Holy Orders? This delusion, whose consequences are absurd and disturbing in the civil sphere, if applied to the religious sphere, would inflict a mortal blow on the already tortured ecclesial body.
We must consider the reasons that have led a personality like James Martin, S.J., to enjoy such notoriety and visibility in the ecclesial sphere and even in the Roman institutions, receiving an appointment as a Consultor of the Dicastery for Communications and recently being the recipient of a hand-written letter from Bergoglio. His ostentatious commitment in support of the pan-sexualist movement effectively offers considered and acritical support for an unlimited series of sexual variations and perversions. Such a priori adhesion is not the deplorable excess of a single Jesuit but represents the planned action of an ideological vanguard that has already proven to be uncontrollable and capable of orienting the very “Magisterium” of Bergoglio and his court.
The LGBTQ+ ideology constitutes the new moral paradigm of the globalist religion of the indistinct, which is of a clear Gnostic and Luciferian matrix. The absence of supernaturally revealed dogmas serves as the premise of a post-human superdogma, in which Faith is perverted into an unconditional acceptance of every sort of heresy and depravity, Hope dissolves into the absurd claim of an already-guaranteed salvation hic et nunc, and Charity is corrupted into a horizontal solidarity deprived of its ultimate reference in God. The activism of the Jesuit Martin foreshadows the rainbow ministry of the Age of Aquarius, the religion of the Antichrist, and the worship of idols and demons, beginning with the filthy Pachamama.
For this reason, the indecent and scandalous Bergoglian endorsement of the aberrant provocations of James Martin is only one more step down a path that started with his famous “Who am I to judge?” in perfect coherence with the line of “rupture” of this “pontificate.” It is a suicidal gesture in which the leaders of the Church surrender unconditionally to the antichristic ideology of globalism and hand over the entire flock of Christ as a hostage to the Enemy, abdicating their role as Pastors and showing themselves for who they really are: mercenaries and traitors. Scandalized, we are witnessing the transition from “argue, obsecra, increpa, insta opportune importune” – “reprove, entreat, rebuke, be instant in season and out of season” (2 Tim 4:2) – to “loquimini nobis placentia” – “speak unto us pleasant things” (Is 30:10).
It is therefore unsurprising that James Martin enjoys such appreciation in the highest spheres of the Vatican, which according to the methodology in force since Vatican II leaves a free hand to the most agitated exponents of progressive currents and then adopts the Hegelian dialectic between the thesis of natural and Catholic morality, the antithesis of doctrinal deviations, and the synthesis of a new magisterium in step with the times.
This way of proceeding, which may seem to some to be a prudent updating to the secularized mentality of our time, nevertheless reveals an abysmal betrayal of the teaching of Christ and the law impressed in man by his Creator. A greater license in vice – largely desired and promoted by today’s dominant anti-Christian ideology – does not legitimize in any way this denial on the part of the Hierarchy of the command it has received from Our Lord, nor can it authorize operations of adulteration that aim solely at indulging the worldly spirit and the corruption of morals. On the contrary, the more the mainstream pushes for a cancellation of the immutable principles of Catholic morality, the more pastors have the duty to raise their voice to reaffirm without hesitation what God has commanded them to preach.
I therefore find it outrageous towards God, scandalous for the honor of the Church, a matter of grave scandal for the faithful and a desolating abandonment for priests and confessors that a voice can be given to a Jesuit who bases his personal success not on proper pastoral action seeking the conversion of individual homosexuals with respect to Morality, but on the illusory promise of some change in Catholic doctrine that would legitimize people’s sinful behavior and grants the dignity of interlocutor to the so-called LGBTQ+ movements. The mere use of this acronym, which supports people by identifying them mechanically in their specific sexual perversion against nature, demonstrates a prostration of James Martin and his collaborators to the demands of the pan-sexual lobby, which the Church cannot accept or legitimize in the least.
In any case, if a large part of the Clergy is so impatient to see the demands of LGBTQ+ ideology endorsed by the Hierarchy, this is clearly due to an execrable conflict of interest and a very deep moral and disciplinary crisis.
Is it possible to change the teaching of the Church with regard to homosexual unions, especially considering that Pope Francis has publicly approved civil unions, which in the past were condemned by magisterial documents of the Vatican?
It must be made clear that behaviors against the Sixth Commandment of the Decalogue, especially those concerning sexual disorders that offend the Creator in the natural distinction of the sexes themselves and in the procreative purpose of the conjugal act, cannot be subjected to any updating, not even under pressure of power groups or iniquitous laws promulgated by the civil authority.
The hedonistic and pan-sexualist mentality that lies at the foundation of today’s dominant ideology, according to which the exercise of sexuality is not intrinsically ordered towards procreation but can have as its sole purpose the unregulated satisfaction of pleasure, should also be denounced without hesitation. This vision is repugnant to the natural order willed by the Creator, which makes the sexual act lawful only in the union of spouses blessed by the Sacrament and open to conception. It is evident that, since nature firstly does not make procreation between two men or two women possible, every form of sexuality between persons of the same sex is intrinsically disordered, and as such cannot be justified in any way.
Civil unions are nothing but forms of public legitimization of concubinage in which the couple does not assume the responsibilities and duties connected to the natural institution of marriage. If the civil authority approves such unions, it abuses its own authority, which Providence has instituted within the very precise limits of the bonum commune and never in direct contradiction of the salus animarum which the Church watches over with Her maternal authority. But if such unions are ratified by the ecclesiastical authority, the betrayal of the divine mandate is added to the perversion of the purpose for which the supreme Lawgiver willed it, rendering every even implicit form of official approval of sinful and scandalous behaviors de facto null and void.
There are many bishops in the United States who sign letters in support of identification as LGBT and confirm this orientation, just as others – like Cardinal Cupich – suggest that homosexual couples can receive Holy Communion. What is your message to Catholics who may be bewildered by such pronouncements?
The pseudo-magisterium of recent years, in particular that of Amoris Laetitia regarding the admission to the Sacraments of public concubinaries and divorcees, has opened a breach in that part of the Magisterium which even after Vatican II had been preserved from systematic demolition by the innovators. It is therefore not surprising, even in its absolute gravity, that once people who are in the state of mortal sin have been admitted to Holy Communion, this unfortunate decision is then extended to people who do not have the capacity to contract legitimate marriages, since they are not a couple consisting of a man and a woman. But on closer inspection, this heterodox vision also concerns politicians who in their action of governance and social commitment publicly contradict Catholic teaching and betray the commitment to coherence which they assumed with their Baptism and Confirmation. On the other hand, so-called “adult Catholics” – who in the eyes of God are simply rebellious against His holy Law – find widespread approval among Bishops who are even more rebellious – like Cupich, Tobin, Gregory, and their followers, who are themselves unworthy of celebrating the Sacred Mysteries – while the Pastors who are faithful to the mandate conferred on them by Our Lord not only recognize their situation of public sin but also do not wish to aggravate it with the profanation of the Blessed Sacrament.
What is the essential and immutable teaching of the Church with regard to homosexuality?
The Church, faithful to the teaching of her Head, is Mother and not stepmother: she does not indulge her children’s weaknesses and inclination to sin, but she admonishes them, exhorts them, and punishes them with medicinal sanctions in order to lead every soul to the purpose for which it has been created, that is, eternal beatitude. Every soul, willed and loved by God, has been redeemed by the Redeemer on the Cross, for whom He has shed his very Blood: Cujus una stilla salvum facere totum mundum quit ab omni scelere. As we read in the Adoro te devote, composed by the Doctor Communis, one single drop of the Most Precious Blood of Christ has the power to save the entire human race from all of its sins.
The Church’s immutable teaching is simple, crystalline, and inspired by the love of God and the love of neighbor for His sake. It does not impose itself as a cruel castration of the tendencies and orientations of the human person which it irrationally defends as legitimate, but rather as a loving and harmonious development of the individual towards the sole purpose that can completely fulfill him and that corresponds to the intimate essence of his nature. Man is born to love, adore, and serve God, and so attain eternal beatitude in the glory of Paradise.
Making him believe that by indulging the corrupt instincts of original sin and personal sins he can in some way fulfill himself far from God and against Him constitutes a culpable deception and a very grave responsibility on the part of those who abuse their role as Shepherds in order to delude the sheep and plunge them into the abyss.
Instead, it is necessary to show, with patient but firm spiritual direction, that every human being has a supernatural destiny and a path of suffering and sacrifices that temper him and make him worthy of his eternal reward. There is no Resurrection without Calvary, no victory without a fight! This is true for every soul redeemed by Our Lord: both the married person and the celibate, the priest and the layperson, the man and the woman, the child and the elder. The battle against one’s own nature corrupted by Original Sin unites us all: the one who manages money must fight against the temptation to steal, the one who is married must fight against the temptation to betray his or her spouse, the one who lives in chastity must fight against temptations against purity, the one who eats nice food must fight against the temptation to gluttony, and the one who is exposed to public applause must fight against the temptation to pride.
Thus, with humility and trust in the Grace of God, and having recourse to the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin, every person whom the Lord puts to the test – even in the painful situation of homosexuality – must understand that it is in the battle against sin that one conquers one’s place in eternity, makes the Passion of Christ not rendered vain, and causes the splendor of the Mercy of God to shine forth towards His creatures, whom He helps in the moment of temptation – not with the illusory approval of inclinations to evil but by pointing to the glorious destiny that awaits each one of us: being admitted to the Wedding Feast of the Lamb wearing the royal robe that He has prepared for us.
May we be assisted in this earthly pilgrimage by the Grace regained with sacramental Absolution and the celestial food of the Holy Eucharist, the Bread of Angels and pledge of future glory.
