How much does the COVID-19 vaccine cost, one may ask?
Whether you're insured or uninsured, the out-of-pocket fee for vaccination is exactly the same: zero.
So, if vaccines are "free" and Pfizer alone is set to make tens of billions of dollars in revenue this year, who is paying for them?
The answer of course is citizen tax payers! You, me, vaccinated and unvaccinated.
Not only that, it was taxpayers money who paid for some of the costs of developing the drug in the first place. For example, the Moderna vaccine the US government is footing the entire bill. Moderna is part of Operation Warp Speed, a government program throwing literal billions at finding therapies and vaccines for COVID-19. Moderna has put forth absolutely zero dollars into developing their vaccine. Zilch. Zero. Nada.
