One observes that the Dubia draw heavily from Vatican II documents, and of those, they draw from the more conservative passages.
However, these good-hearted prelates who composed the Dubia may have placed themselves into a trap, as there are just as many passages in the Vatican II documents that are the progressive foundation (and often cited by Pope Francis) as the pretext for many of his radical changes.(cf.
